Second, if the noise from metal rubbing against metal is too loud when you open the door, it indicates that the lubricant in the door hinges is insufficient. Another possibility is that the door hinges themselves are damaged. You can start by applying some lubricant and see whether the metallic grinding sound becomes quieter or disappears altogether. If there’s no change at all, you’ll need to contact an expert from the fire-rated door manufacturer for repair services.
Third, if the key cannot be inserted into the fire door lock, you should check whether there are any foreign objects inside the lock cylinder. If the blockage is caused by a foreign object, proceed with caution and have a professional repair technician handle the repair—never attempt to fix it yourself.
