A method for manufacturing a wooden fire-rated door and its fabrication process.

Author:

Fire doors not only perform the functions of ordinary doors but also serve to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. They can effectively contain a fire for a certain period of time, thereby ensuring the safe evacuation of occupants. Classified by material, fire doors can generally be divided into steel fire doors and wood fire doors. In residential and small-scale buildings, wood fire doors are commonly used to save costs and meet practical needs. Among existing wood fire doors, the outermost layer is typically a wooden decorative panel. However, when a fire breaks out, this external wooden decorative panel cannot withstand high temperatures for long periods and tends to burn away quickly, which can easily lead to an escalation of the fire.

A fire door is a door that, for a specified period of time, can meet the requirements for fire resistance, integrity, and thermal insulation. It serves as a fire-resistant partition located in areas such as fire compartments, evacuation stairwells, and shafts. In addition to performing the functions of a regular door, a fire door also prevents the spread of fire and smoke, thereby effectively containing a fire within a certain timeframe and ensuring the safe evacuation of personnel. According to material classification, fire doors can be broadly divided into steel fire doors and... Wooden fire-rated door Among them, the outermost layer is typically a wood decorative panel. When a fire occurs, the external wood decorative panel cannot withstand high temperatures for long periods and tends to burn easily, thereby making it more likely for the fire to escalate.

In response to the shortcomings of existing technologies, the present invention provides a... Wooden fire-rated door and its manufacturing process address the issue that, in existing wooden fire doors, the wooden decorative panels on the exterior cannot withstand fire for a long time and tend to burn easily, thereby readily contributing to the escalation of the fire. To achieve the above-mentioned objective, the present invention provides the following technical solution: a... Wooden fire-rated door The structure includes a door body, with storage boxes fixed to the top front and top back of the door body. Both storage boxes have a hollow rectangular prism structure with open bottoms. Sealing plates are fixed inside the open bottoms of the two storage boxes; these sealing plates are made of hollow glass and are filled with kerosene. The interiors of the storage boxes are filled with a liquid flame-retardant agent. Preferably, the top surface of the storage box is flush with the top surface of the door body. Preferably, the door body comprises a front decorative panel and a rear decorative panel, with a core panel positioned between them. The front surface of the core panel is fixedly connected to the front surface of the rear decorative panel, and the core panel has a honeycomb structure.

In summary, the present invention provides a wood-based fire-rated door and a manufacturing process for it, offering the following beneficial effects: (1) When this invention is used, in the event of a fire, the kerosene contained within the sealing plate at the bottom of the containment box will rapidly expand under high temperatures, causing the glass sealing plate to rupture. At this point, the opening at the bottom of the containment box will no longer be sealed, allowing the liquid flame-retardant agent inside to flow out through the bottom opening. The agent will spill onto the decorative panel and, under the influence of gravity, form a flame-retardant layer on the panel, thereby preventing the wooden decorative panel from failing prematurely in high-temperature environments and reducing the likelihood of fire escalation. In this invention, a honeycomb core board is fixed between the front and rear decorative panels, making the entire fire-rated door lighter and reducing material usage, thus lowering the cost of the wood-based fire-rated door and enhancing its sound insulation performance. Moreover, the production process is detailed and clearly defined, improving both production efficiency and quality control. The fire-resistance testing of the wood-based fire-rated door is conducted using a test furnace, ensuring that the finished door panels exhibit excellent fire resistance, structural integrity, and thermal insulation properties. A testing machine is also used to evaluate the rotational life of installed fire-rated doors, measuring the number of rotation cycles they can withstand.
