A Comprehensive Overview of Common Knowledge About Fire Doors in Guangxi

Author:

Guangxi fire-rated doors are fire-resistant doors composed of door frames, door leaf frames, door leaf panels, and internal filling materials made from non-combustible or flame-retardant wood. The internal filling materials are fire-retardant and heat-insulating substances that are harmless to humans, and the doors are equipped with fire-rated hardware accessories.

A Comprehensive Overview of Common Knowledge About Fire Doors in Guangxi

The overlap dimension between the door leaf and the door frame shall be at least 12 millimeters. The clearance for the mating movement of the door assembly, including both the door leaf and the door frame, must not exceed the dimensional tolerances specified in the design drawings. The alignment clearance between the locking surface on the door front and the edge of the door shall also not exceed the dimensional tolerances specified in the design drawings. The clearance for the coupling movement between the vehicle door’s electric fan and the upper frame shall not exceed 0.3 centimeters. The clearance between two electric fans or between multiple door electric fans shall not exceed 0.3 centimeters. The clearance for the movement between the vehicle door’s electric fan and the lower frame or floor shall not exceed 1 centimeter. For cabinet doors and door surfaces, the fitting clearances on the housing side, the locking side, and the upper frame side shall all not exceed 3 millimeters.

Guangxi fire doors Thermal insulation performance: 1. Class A thermal-insulated fire doors are fire doors that, within a specified time frame, simultaneously meet both the requirements for fire resistance integrity and thermal insulation; 2. Class B partially thermal-insulated fire doors are fire doors that, according to a requirement of more than 0.50 hours, satisfy both the requirements for fire resistance and thermal insulation; 3. Class C non-thermal-insulated fire doors are fire doors that, within the specified time frame, meet only the requirement for fire resistance integrity.

Guangxi fire doors They are classified according to material—there are steel fire doors and wood fire doors. These two types of fire doors differ in some detailed aspects of installation, and their fire-resistance ratings also vary slightly. When installing them, it’s crucial to pay close attention to the details.

First, when installing wooden fire-rated doors, the door frame size must be 0.2 decimeters smaller than the doorway opening. The bottom edge of the door should be embedded 0.002 meters below the floor level, and the door edges must be tightly perpendicular to the walls at all corners. During installation, pay close attention to ensuring that the supporting posts are perfectly vertical; avoid any deviation or misalignment. There should be at least three fixed points on each side of the door, with a spacing no greater than 80 centimeters. Second, during the installation of steel fire-rated doors, take into account the potential for bending and deformation of the building structure. Therefore, use wooden blocks to provide lateral support across the width of the door. The bottom edge of the door should be embedded 20 millimeters below the ground surface. Weld the embedded components of the door frame to the wall. Then, drill holes in the wall at the upper corners of the door, and inject concrete made from a mixture of cement, sand, and expanded perlite (in a ratio of 1:2:5). Once the concrete has fully set, the door can be put into use.

Fire-resistant doors in Guangxi have specific sealing requirements. The national standard sets clear specifications for the size of each overlapping gap in fire-resistant doors. For steel fire-resistant doors, the overlap between the door leaf and the door frame must be less than 0.1 decimeter, and the gap on either side between the door leaf and the door frame must not exceed 4 millimeters. After installation, the gaps in Guangxi’s fire-resistant doors must not be too large; otherwise, it will be difficult to ensure their sealing performance and to effectively prevent the spread of fire and smoke under fire conditions. Therefore, the width of gaps during the installation of Guangxi’s fire-resistant doors must be strictly controlled.
