They are generally installed in the following locations:

  (3) Divide the building into fire compartments and control the doors in firewalls and fire-resistant partition walls within each compartment. When it is difficult to install firewalls or fire doors inside a building, replace them with fire-resistant rolling shutters and provide water curtain protection.

  (4) Partition doors that comply with relevant standards (such as GB 50045-95, "Fire Protection Code for High-Rise Civil Buildings") or have special fire and smoke prevention requirements in the design. For example: partition doors for equipment rooms (including cylinder rooms, foam stations, etc.); fixed fire-extinguishing systems installed within high-rise civil buildings; and partition doors for ventilation and air-conditioning machine rooms should preferably be Class A fire doors. Doors installed in basement rooms where personnel frequently stay or where combustible materials are abundant should also be fire doors. Due to site constraints, when it is necessary to install fuel or gas boilers, oil-immersed power transformers, high-voltage capacitors filled with oil, and switchgear, etc., in high-rise buildings, the doors on the partition walls of these special rooms should be Class A fire doors. Additionally, doors with special fire protection requirements—such as those leading to fire command centers, document and archive rooms, and vaults for valuable items—typically use either Class A or Class B fire doors. In high-rise residential buildings, apartment entrance doors often adopt fire-resistant and anti-theft doors.

   Fire-resistant rolling shutter door It is primarily used in public places with fire safety requirements, such as large supermarkets (hypermarkets), major shopping malls, large specialized supply markets, large exhibition halls, factories, warehouses, and other similar venues. In the event of a fire, the fire-resistant rolling shutter door will automatically descend (lower) according to a pre-set program under the control of the fire protection system, thereby preventing flames from spreading to other areas and buying valuable time for firefighting efforts.

  In general, large-scale buildings are equipped with fire protection systems in accordance with the provisions of the national "Fire Protection Law." When a fire occurs, smoke sensors—also known as smoke detectors—installed on the roof first detect smoke signals and immediately send an alarm to the control system. After the signal is identified, the fire department’s control system activates the fire suppression systems in the affected area. When the shutter door has descended to a position approximately 1.8 meters above the ground, it will halt its descent to facilitate the evacuation and escape of personnel. The descending speed and the duration of the intermediate pause can be adjusted during installation.

  In certain situations, buildings are not equipped with fire protection systems. Fire-resistant rolling shutter door The fire-rated operating procedures for fire-resistant rolling shutters are implemented solely by using the fire-control electrical box for these shutters. In this scenario, when a fire alarm is triggered, the fire alarm signal received by the smoke sensor is directly transmitted to the fire-fighting electrical box of the fire-resistant rolling shutter. In the event of a power outage, the fire-resistant rolling shutter can only be lowered by manually pulling the chain. The shutter is equipped with a manual release mechanism that allows it to be lowered in one direction only and cannot be raised.

  Fire-resistant rolling shutters have high manufacturing requirements, meaning the entire system must be able to withstand high-temperature exposure of around 1100°C for a specified duration. The fire-resistance rating is the primary performance indicator for fire-resistant rolling shutters. GB14102-93, "General Technical Specifications for Steel Fire-Resistant Rolling Shutters," specifies four fire-resistance levels based on the duration of fire resistance.
